Centre for Local Business Development Reaches Out to Businesses in Region 6

The Centre for Local Business Development has initiated a series of outreaches in Region Six to educate businesses and individuals about projects and opportunities in both the private and public sectors.

The goal is to empower residents of Berbice to benefit from the economic growth and development happening in the region.

Director of the Centre for Local Business Development, Natasha Gaskin Peters, explained that the two-day outreach aims to inform people about the various sectors experiencing growth, including construction, oil and gas, agriculture, transportation, logistics, and more.

The outreach is part of a broader effort to reach all ten administrative regions and ensure that people are aware of and can take advantage of the opportunities arising from economic expansion.

The initiative is being conducted in collaboration with the Berbice Chamber of Commerce, the Institute of Private Enterprise Development, and local communities.

Regional Chairman David Armogan welcomed the outreach, considering it timely in light of the significant development occurring across the region.

The outreaches aim to equip individuals with the knowledge and tools necessary to participate in and contribute to the region’s economic progress.
