The Central Housing and Planning Authority is taking a firm stance against corruption

The Central Housing and Planning Authority (CHPA) is vigorously addressing corruption within its ranks, leading to the termination of an employee following investigations into alleged misconduct.

Minister within the Ministry of Housing and Water, Susan Rodrigues, emphasized the authority’s commitment to rooting out corruption wherever it is identified.

The termination was a result of a thorough process that involved gathering evidence against the employee.

Minister Rodrigues stated that the individual in question was questioned, put on bail, and the file is currently with the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).

While addressing the singular case, Minister Rodrigues highlighted the need for concrete evidence to take definitive actions against any corrupt individuals within the authority.

She urged the public to come forward with solid information regarding staff members or individuals soliciting monetary bribes in exchange for land allocations.
