The Central Corentyne Chamber of Commerce (CCCC) recently invested $2.4 million in the rehabilitation of a pavilion and the construction of a sanitary block at the Rose Hall Estate Community Center Ground in Canje.
The facilities were officially commissioned yesterday, marking a significant improvement in the community’s amenities.
The decision to undertake these projects stemmed from the funds generated at the annual Berbice Expo and Trade Fair held by the CCCC last year.
With a commitment to giving back to the community, the chamber prioritized initiatives that would directly benefit the residents of the area.
One of the projects involved the rehabilitation of the “School Boys Stand” pavilion, a key structure at the Rose Hall Estate Community Center Ground.
Additionally, a new sanitary block was constructed to provide improved facilities for female users of the ground.
Former President of the CCCC, Leekha Rambrich, emphasized that these projects are part of the chamber’s ongoing efforts to support community development.
He expressed pride in the accomplishments achieved at the Rose Hall Community Center Ground, including the nurturing of exceptional cricketers who have represented Guyana regionally and internationally.
Rambrich affirmed the chamber’s commitment to continuing its support for initiatives at the location.
Vijay Goberdhan, Manager of the Rose Hall Estate, expressed gratitude to the CCCC for its generous contribution towards enhancing the community’s infrastructure.
He acknowledged the importance of such investments in improving the quality of life for residents and visitors alike.
The CCCC’s investment in the Rose Hall Estate Community Center Ground reflects its broader commitment to executing similar projects across the region.
By leveraging the funds generated at its annual exposition and trade fair, the chamber aims to make a tangible impact on local communities and contribute to their development and prosperity.
