In an impressive display of skill and teamwork, Castrol Strikers secured a commanding victory over Venguy Volleyball Club in the Demerara Volleyball Association League.

Led by captain Kirby Richards, Castrol Strikers delivered a stellar performance, with Corwyn Richards leading the scoring charge.

Corwyn’s remarkable display saw him contribute 18 points to his team’s triumph, supported by a total of 41 attacks, 3 aces, and 6 blocks.

The match began with Castrol Strikers asserting dominance, overpowering Venguy Volleyball Club in the opening set with a decisive 25-12 victory.

The momentum carried into the second set, with Kirby Richards adding 12 points to extend the lead with a 25-15 win.

However, Venguy Volleyball Club fought back in the third set, with Gustavo Granados and Klondyke Rodney each scoring 6 points to challenge Castrol Strikers’ supremacy.

Despite the resurgence, Castrol maintained their composure, securing the set 25-20 to clinch the match in straight sets.

With this victory, Castrol Strikers now claim the top spot on the leaderboard with 10 points, having secured three wins and suffered a single loss. Premier Eagles have been relegated to second place with 9 points after three wins.

The Guyana Defence Force occupies third place, followed by Alphas, Venguys, Classic Ball Blasters, and Vanguards.

Castrol Strikers’ dominance in the league is evident, with victories against Classic Ball Blasters and Premier Eagles showcasing their formidable prowess on the court.

Their only defeat came at the hands of Alphas Volleyball Club.

As the competition unfolds, Castrol Strikers remain a formidable force, poised to maintain their position at the summit of the Demerara Volleyball Association League.
