CARICOM Heads of Government Conference Off to an “Excellent” Start, Says Chairman President Dr. Irfaan Ali

The Meeting of the CARICOM Heads of Government Conference commenced on a highly positive note, with Chairman of the community, President Dr. Irfaan Ali, describing the proceedings as “excellent.”

As the first session concluded around 1 p.m. for lunch, President Ali expressed satisfaction with the progress made thus far and highlighted the robust discussions on several major issues.

Video footage from the conference captured President Ali’s remarks, where he indicated that topics such as agriculture were already being discussed, signaling a productive start to the three-day conference.

Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley of Trinidad and Tobago echoed President Ali’s sentiments, affirming that the meeting was progressing smoothly under President Ali’s chairmanship.

Dr. Rowley noted the increased cohesion among member states, emphasizing the tangible benefits emerging from this enhanced collaboration.
