Preparations for Budget 2026 are well advanced, as the PPP/C government moves quickly to deliver on the commitments it made during the 2025 General and Regional elections campaign.

This is according to Senior Minister in the Office of the President with Responsibility for Finance, Dr. Ashni Singh.

The Minister says that Government Ministries and Agencies have already submitted their budget proposals which outline the programmes that they expect to deliver in the new year.

He adds that the Finance Ministry is currently meeting with Government departments, Private Sector Organizations, and other stakeholders as part of the preparation process.

Meanwhile, in light of concerns about declining global oil prices, Dr. Singh noted that the Government has built a resilient economic framework that can withstand fluctuations in commodity markets.

Budget 2026 is expected to be presented to Parliament early next year.
