A British business delegation has arrived in Guyana for the fourth time to explore new opportunities in one of the world’s fastest-growing economies.

This year’s mission focuses on strengthening ties in various sectors, including maritime, construction, procurement, and the environment.

Building on the success of previous visits, which saw around 30 UK companies establish successful partnerships in sectors such as infrastructure, defense, and shipping, the delegation aims to deepen trade and investment ties with local stakeholders.

The British High Commissioner to Guyana, Jane Miller, expressed confidence in the ongoing relationship between the UK and Guyana.

The delegation is eager to further engage with local businesses and explore the vast potential for collaboration in the nation’s rapidly expanding sectors.

Minister of Finance, Dr. Ashni Singh, highlighted the growing investment opportunities within Guyana.

He also reassured the delegation that while local content remains a priority, international companies will not face restrictions if they do not have local partners.

This openness is seen as an invitation for foreign businesses to tap into the nation’s flourishing economy.

The mission signals the increasing international interest in Guyana, which continues to attract foreign investors seeking to be part of the country’s economic growth.

This year’s delegation is expected to engage in meetings with key sectors and governmental representatives, further cementing the UK’s role in Guyana’s development.
