In the ongoing One Guyana basketball league playoff, both Bounty Colts and Eagles secured victories in their respective matchups.

The games took place at the national gymnasium after heavy rain forced a move from the open hard court.

Bounty Colts faced Kobras in their playoff clash, emerging victorious with a score of 66-51.

Key players Shelroy Thomas and Shane Webster led the charge for Bounty Colts.

Despite Thomas dealing with a hamstring issue and only participating in half of the game, his contribution was significant.

Center Webster controlled the offensive boards and registered 10 points. Carmelo Man Son-Hing and Domitre Rankin showcased their skills, contributing 8 and 7 points, respectively.

The University of Guyana Trojans encountered a tough challenge against Eagles, suffering a 72-52 defeat.

Denzil Ross delivered an outstanding performance with 23 points, while Travis Belgrave added 17 points.

Michael Richards contributed 11 points as Eagles dominated each quarter of the game.

Jether Harris led the scoring for UG with 14 points, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Eagles’ strong performance. Kadeem Peterkin added 12 points in the loss.

The playoff series began with Kwakwani Untouchables edging Mambas and Ravens outpacing Pacesetters in the opening round. Kwakwani and Ravens will aim to close out their respective series in the upcoming games.
