Berbicians Benefit from Mental Resiliency and Stress Management Sessions

Over 120 residents from Berbice recently participated in a Mental Resiliency and Stress Management Counseling Session organized by Humanitarian Mission Guyana Inc.

The initiative, supported by the US Embassy in collaboration with the NGO National Coordinating Coalition, Food for the Poor, and the Regional Democratic Council, aimed to provide essential support and resources focused on mental health and stress management.

The sessions were conducted by experienced professionals in the field, offering participants valuable guidance on enhancing mental resilience and effective stress coping strategies.

Sabrina Ramjas, a representative from Humanitarian Mission Guyana Inc., emphasized that the program’s goal is to equip individuals with tools to better navigate life’s challenges and promote overall well-being.

Ishaka Jackman, an ICT consultant at the National Coordinating Coalition, highlighted the importance of such sessions in fostering mental well-being within the community.

The counseling sessions took place at the Humanitarian Mission Guyana Inc. office in Ankerville, Port Mourant.
