In the Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA) & Friends 2nd Division Two-Day League, Bel-Air Rubis achieved a commanding 67-run victory over the Ace Warriors at the Malteenous Sports Club.
The standout performance of the match came from Mahindra Jeenarine, who claimed a remarkable 10 wickets.
Bel-Air Rubis, batting first, managed a modest score of 101 all out in their first innings, with Rajendra Singh contributing an unbeaten 44 runs.
The Ace Warriors struggled in their response, getting dismissed for 80 runs, which gave Bel-Air Rubis a slight advantage.
In their second innings, the Ace Warriors’ batting woes continued as they were bowled out for just 45 runs.
Jeenarine’s exceptional bowling figures of three for nine and seven for 12, totaling ten wickets, were instrumental in securing the victory and earned him the Player of the Match award.
Damini Thomas was the top scorer for the Ace Warriors with 28 runs across both innings.
Despite their efforts, the Ace Warriors could not overcome the pressure, leading to their defeat.
