Amidst vibrant festivities and the theme “Regatta is We Own,” the Bartica Easter Regatta 2024 was officially launched, promising a blend of excitement and camaraderie for attendees.
The Bartica Easter Regatta committee unveiled their plans during a colorful cocktail reception titled “Vibes in the Tropics.” Chairman of the Committee, Kenneth Williams, announced that the Regatta is scheduled to take place from March 16 to April 1, aiming to offer a series of recreational activities for participants.
Williams expressed his enthusiasm for this year’s event, emphasizing plans to engage individuals from various regions, including Puruni, and encouraging widespread participation.
As the festivities gear up, Williams extended his well wishes for a safe and enjoyable Regatta, emphasizing the importance of attendees’ safety.
This season’s Bartica Regatta promises a diverse array of activities, catering to a wide audience.
Highlights include Regatta Got Talent for schoolchildren, a football tournament, the Miss Bartica Regatta Pageant, and the thrilling Regatta Powerboat Race.
With a rich history spanning over fifty-five years, the Bartica Regatta stands as the largest social gathering in the township, drawing thousands of visitors annually and earning its place on Guyana’s esteemed tourism calendar.
As anticipation builds for this year’s celebrations, Bartica Easter Regatta 2024 continues to symbolize unity, community spirit, and the vibrant culture of Guyana.
