Banks DIH Introduces canned beer line

One of Guyana’s leading beverage and manufacturing companies, Banks DIH Limited has officially launched canned versions of its popular beers, marking a new phase in the company’s production and distribution operations.

The familiar taste of Banks Beer and GT Beer is now being delivered in a new way, as Banks DIH introduces canned packaging aimed at boosting convenience and expanding how consumers enjoy the brands.

The launch, held at the company’s Thirst Park headquarters, forms part of efforts to enhance accessibility and strengthen the brands’ presence at sporting events, entertainment venues, and other major public gatherings.

During remarks at the launch, Brew Master Matthew Kendall said the move represents more than just a new packaging format.

“Today’s launch represents more than a new packaged format, it represents a brand that has become synonymous with Guyanese pride and celebration. Consumers can now enjoy the safe great banks beer taste in a convenient can format that is ideal for, Sporting events, outdoor activities, entertainment ventures, social gathering and occasions where convenience matters most,” he said.

The company also announced that the canned products will be available in 24-pack, 12-pack, and six-pack options, giving consumers greater flexibility in how they purchase and consume the beverages.

Officials further noted that the introduction of canned production expands the company’s manufacturing capacity, with the facility expected to produce approximately 17,000 cans per hour.

Consumers could begin seeing the products in supermarkets and through authorized distributors as early as tomorrow.

Banks DIH traces its brewing history back to 1955 and has continued investing in manufacturing and product expansion over the decades.
