Banks DIH Donates $5.7M to Local Organizations

Banks D’Aguiar’s Industries & Holdings (Banks DIH) continues its tradition of supporting local organizations through its annual Deeds of Covenant disbursement.

In its latest initiative, Banks DIH donated $5.7 million to 27 local organizations under its Deeds of Covenant Disbursement program.

Beneficiaries include prominent institutions such as Missionaries of Charity, St. John’s Bosco Boys’ Orphanage, Ruimveldt Children’s Home and Care Centre, and the Scouts Association of Guyana, among others.

Representatives from recipient organizations expressed gratitude for the support, emphasizing the significant impact of the donations on their respective missions.

Julie Mathews from St. Joseph Mercy Hospital highlighted the importance of such contributions in sustaining their service to vulnerable populations.

Ismael Tang from the Scouts Association Guyana emphasized the long-term benefits of the support in shaping the future of Guyana by nurturing well-rounded individuals.

Sonya Forrester, Public Relations Representative for Banks DIH, reiterated the company’s commitment to corporate social responsibility, emphasizing that this tradition has persisted for 69 years.

She commended the recipients for their remarkable work in serving the community and encouraged them to continue their impactful endeavors.
