Banks DIH Limited has renewed its commitment as the official sponsor for the Kares One Guyana T10 Tape Ball Blast, marking the second consecutive year of its support.
The tournament is set to commence on August 3.
As part of the sponsorship, Banks DIH will brand the playing venue with its GT Beer and Rainforest Water.
Colin King, Water Beverages Manager at Banks DIH, expressed enthusiasm for this year’s event, reflecting on the excitement and electric atmosphere of last year’s tournament.
He hopes to see the tournament evolve into a regional event and encourages players to aim for national team selections.
King also looks forward to favorable weather conditions for an enjoyable cricket experience.
Romario Samaroo, a representative from FL Sports, extended gratitude to Banks DIH for its continued support, highlighting the significance of a local company backing home-grown talent.
He anticipates a spectacular tournament powered by the support of Banks DIH.
The opening round on August 3 will feature 32 teams.
The top 16 teams will advance to the next round, taking place at the DCC and Police Sports Club grounds.
Matches will begin at 9 a.m.
Quarterfinals are scheduled for August 11 at the Enmore Community Centre ground, with the semifinals and final taking place on August 25 at the Providence Stadium.
This date will also include the President’s charity fundraising match.
The tournament’s prize pool includes G$1.5 million for the winner, G$500,000 for the runner-up, and G$250,000 each for the losing semifinalists.
