Residents of Linden expressed their anticipation and gratitude following the signing of the contract for the construction of a new four-lane Wismar/Mackenzie bridge.
The new infrastructure is set to replace the existing one-lane bridge commissioned in 1967.

The 35 million dollar contract for the construction of the Wismar–Mackenzie bridge was awarded to the China Railway Construction Corporation Limited.
The new bridge, a pre-cast structure, will span 20 meters with amenities including road safety signage, lighting, a horizontal clearance of 32 meters, and a vertical clearance of 11.5 meters.
