ANSA McAL Joins Forces with KFC Goodwill Football Series

ANSA McAL, operating under the Lucozade and Icool Water brands, has thrown its support behind the upcoming KFC Goodwill Football Series, scheduled to kick off on December 12.

This collaboration marks the latest addition to the entities supporting the tournament.

During a media briefing, Troy Mendonca, co-director of the Petra organization, emphasized the significance of having key stakeholders contributing to the continual growth of the tournament.

Mendonca expressed optimism about the tournament’s future trajectory through strategic collaborations.

In response, Troy Cadogan, Managing Director of Ansa McAL, expressed eagerness to witness local talent showcase their skills against some of the best teams from the region.

The eight-team tournament will feature teams from Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, and Suriname, competing against schools from Guyana for the Goodwill Series title.

The competition will follow a round-robin format, leading to semi-finals and ultimately determining the champion.

A substantial financial incentive awaits the winners, with the champions receiving a total prize pool of $500,000, the runner-up securing $300,000, and the third and fourth places earning $200,000 and $100,000, respectively.

This partnership underscores the commitment of various stakeholders in fostering the development and promotion of football talent in the region.
