On Tuesday, Agriculture Minister Zulfikar Mustapha brought holiday cheer to 5,000 children in Region Six by distributing toys across several villages.

The distribution took place in Black Bush Polder, where the Minister highlighted the significance of the holiday season as a time for giving, spreading love, and fostering community spirit.

Minister Mustapha expressed his happiness at seeing the joy on the children’s faces and emphasized the importance of making this Christmas memorable for every child.

The Minister also encouraged the young recipients to use part of their holiday break for studying, reminding them not to only enjoy their new toys but to also stay prepared for the upcoming school term.

The toys were handed out in several villages, including #51 Good Hope, Yakusari, Johanna, Mibicuri, Lesbeholden, Manchester, Whim, Bloomfield, Johns, Port Mourant, Chesney, Fyrish, and Zambia.

This initiative is part of the government’s efforts to spread holiday cheer and ensure that every child has a special gift during the festive season.
