As part of the celebrations for Agriculture Month 2023, the Ministry of Agriculture, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, hosted their annual health fair at the Agriculture Ministry’s Regent Street Office.
This event provided an opportunity for hundreds of individuals to access various free health services.
Services offered included blood donations, vaccinations, diabetes and blood pressure testing, as well as mental and dental health education, among others.
Beneficiaries expressed their gratitude for the initiative, emphasizing that it provided essential services to those who may not have had access otherwise.
One visitor highlighted the importance of the fair, mentioning that it was their first opportunity to visit a mental health therapist unit.
Health professionals present at the event urged the public to prioritize their well-being and the environment.
The fair is part of the broader Agriculture Month celebrations, which are being observed under the theme “accelerating vision 25 by 2025, investing in agri-business and food security.”
The month’s activities will include Market Days, World Food Day celebrations, plant distributions, and the Agri-Investment Forum.
