AFC’s Attempt to ‘Recreate Image’ Criticized by PPP General Secretary

Dr. Bharrat Jagdeo, General Secretary of the PPP/C, has accused the Alliance for Change (AFC) of merely putting on a façade in an attempt to portray itself differently.

He asserts that recent actions by the AFC to present itself in a new light are nothing more than a ‘show.’

In his statement, Dr. Jagdeo emphasizes that the AFC does not have a separate identity from the People’s National Congress (PNC) and lacks credibility.

He alleges that the AFC has a poor track record and has lost its standing with the masses.

Dr. Jagdeo further criticizes the AFC, claiming that many of its top members attempted to justify the rigging that occurred during the 2020 election period.

He asserts that this attempt to distance itself from the PNC is merely a tactic to mislead the public.

Describing the AFC as ‘spineless,’ Dr. Jagdeo expresses his disdain for the governance of the APNU/AFC coalition.

This critique from the General Secretary of the PPP/C sheds light on the political dynamics and perceptions surrounding the AFC’s attempts to redefine its image in the eyes of the Guyanese populace.
