The Central Housing and Planning Authority (CH&PA) has started operating from its new headquarters, kicking off a phased relocation of departments and services.

The Community Development Department, formerly housed at the Old Dairy Bar Building, and the Planning Department, which handles Planning Permission applications, are now fully up and running at the new site. Community Development handles matter like regularisation, relocation, and other community services. Services previously offered at the Camp Street Annex have also been fully moved over.

The relocation is part of the Ministry’s push to consolidate operations and improve service delivery.

Housing Minister Collin Croal, along with Minister within the Ministry Vanessa Benn, Permanent Secretary Bishram Kuppen, and CH&PA CEO Dr. Martin Pertab, visited the new headquarters today to oversee the transition and check in with staff on operational arrangements, aiming to keep disruptions minimal.

More departments are expected to move in over the coming days. The Ministry is asking the public for patience during the transition and says further updates will follow as additional departments come online.
