The nationwide cash grant distribution continues across Regions Three and Four, with Attorney General and Minister of Legal Affairs Anil Nandlall assuring the public that robust systems are in place to address any potential challenges.

Minister Nandlall was present at the distribution site in Lusignan, Region Four, observing the process firsthand.

Amid concerns over discrepancies reported in Region Three, he emphasized that any issues should be promptly reported to ensure swift resolution.

The Minister also reaffirmed that the distribution system is designed to prevent falsification and forgery.

He urged individuals facing any delays in receiving their cheques not to wait indefinitely but instead to follow the established procedures to track the status of their payments.

The distribution teams will remain at the sites until all cheques are issued, ensuring that eligible recipients receive their grants.

Despite adverse weather conditions, citizens turned out in significant numbers to collect their grants at various locations along the East Coast of Demerara.

At Tipperary Hall in Buxton, several recipients expressed their appreciation for the initiative and shared their plans for utilizing the funds.

Some beneficiaries indicated their intention to invest in small businesses, while others planned to deposit the funds into their bank accounts for future use.

The distribution efforts extended to other communities, including Mon Repos and Lusignan, where residents were also collecting their grants.

The distribution process will continue in Regions Three and Four, with Georgetown set to commence in the upcoming week.
