The latest edition of the Guyana Basketball Federation (GBF) National One Guyana Basketball League saw intense matchups at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall, with the Mambas, Georgetown Masters, and the Guyana Defence Force (GDF) emerging victorious.
In one of the most closely contested games of the night, the Mambas edged out the Raiders with a 52–49 victory.
The Mambas started strong, establishing an early lead, but the Raiders fought back in the final quarter.
However, the Mambas’ strong defensive plays secured the narrow win.
In the second match, Georgetown Masters displayed their experience and cohesion, defeating the Berbice Renegades 67–56.
The Masters dominated from the start, controlling the game with sharp offensive execution and disciplined defense.
By halftime, they had built a comfortable lead, and despite a late push from the Renegades, the gap was too large to close.
The final match of the evening saw GDF overpower the Kings in a hard-fought battle, winning 63–57.
The game was evenly matched in the early stages, with both teams trading baskets and finishing the first quarter tied.
However, GDF gradually pulled away with superior teamwork and clutch performances in the final minutes, maintaining composure under pressure to secure the win.
The One Guyana Basketball League continues this weekend with more exciting matchups.
