The Institute of Creative Arts (ICA) has officially been granted its Certificate of Registration from the National Accreditation Council of Guyana (NACG) following a thorough two-year evaluation process.

This marks a significant step forward for the institution, as it aligns with both national and international standards, ensuring that its programs meet the National Accreditation Act of 2004.

The certification brings with it increased credibility for ICA’s creative arts programs and qualifications, offering students greater access to both local and international opportunities.

The government has expressed its commitment to further advancing ICA’s status, working toward achieving full accreditation, which will further strengthen the global recognition of the institution’s qualifications.

This certification is seen as a milestone for the creative arts sector in Guyana, as it enhances the legitimacy of qualifications offered by ICA and fosters an environment of greater cultural recognition.

Graduates of ICA will now benefit from the recognition of their qualifications, which will help them in their future educational and professional endeavors, both within Guyana and abroad.

Minister of Culture, Youth, and Sports, Charles Ramson Jr., emphasized the significance of this achievement, highlighting that it not only strengthens Guyana’s creative arts community but also brings global attention to the country’s rich cultural diversity.

The government is committed to ensuring that future graduates of ICA hold credentials that are widely respected.

With ICA now officially recognized by the National Accreditation Council, it is poised to provide enhanced opportunities for students pursuing careers in the creative industries, making it easier for them to further their studies or seek employment abroad.
