The stage is set for an exciting conclusion to the Kashif and Shanghai One Guyana National Futsal Tournament tonight, as Sparta Boss and Bent Street ‘A’ prepare to battle it out for the coveted title.
Both teams remain unbeaten and are determined to secure the lucrative GYD 2 million prize on offer at the refurbished Cliff Anderson Sports Hall (CASH).
Sparta Boss, considered the undisputed kings of futsal in Guyana, have displayed their strength throughout the competition.
Their most recent victory came in a narrow 4-3 win over Back Circle ‘A’ in the semifinals, setting up their final showdown.
With national players such as Certez Kellman and Omari Glasgow, Sparta enters the final as favorites but will need a solid performance to claim their latest title.
Bent Street ‘A’, meanwhile, have proven their resilience in the tournament.
Their standout moment came with an 8-6 victory over the Road Warriors, one of the tournament’s most skilled teams.
Bent Street will look to continue their impressive run and secure their place at the top.
Alongside the men’s final, spectators will also be treated to a thrilling women’s finale between Lady Canaimas and Lady Royals.
The winning female team will take home a GYD 200,000 prize, adding further excitement to an already intense night of futsal.
For the men’s final, the second-place team will receive GYD 1 million, while third place will earn GYD 500,000, and fourth will take home GYD 200,000.
The tournament’s individual awards, including MVP, highest goal scorer, and best goalkeeper, will be presented with Honda motorcycles sponsored by the Guyana Energy Conference and Supply Chain.
