In a significant step towards improving drainage and irrigation in Region 2, the government has signed 63 contracts totaling $104 million.

The contract signing ceremony took place yesterday and was overseen by Minister of Public Works, Juan Edghill.

Minister Edghill emphasized the government’s ongoing commitment to enhancing drainage and irrigation systems across all ten municipalities.

He reiterated that supporting small contractors remains a priority, stating that many of the awarded contracts have gone to ordinary citizens.

The minister also provided details on the scale and timeline of the projects, noting that some contracts, with values ranging from $1 million to $2 million, could be completed within a week, depending on the execution and management of the tasks.
