Minister of Finance and Public Service, Dr. Ashni Singh, took part in the government’s ongoing efforts to spread holiday cheer by distributing toys to children in Region 6 on Sunday.

The toy drive, aimed at ensuring every child enjoys a festive Christmas, saw toys handed out in various villages, including Port Mourant, Crabwood Creek, Glasgow, Bush Lot, and Corriverton.

At the distribution event at the Corriverton Play Park, Minister Singh emphasized the significance of such initiatives, noting that the government prioritizes these activities due to their religious and spiritual importance.

He further highlighted that Christmas, over the years, has become a time for generosity, kindness, and community togetherness.

The Minister reiterated that the President’s vision for Christmas is to celebrate it in its true spirit, bringing people together to spread happiness.
