The National One Guyana Squash Tournament continued to deliver thrilling action at the Georgetown Club, with players showcasing their skills across various categories in the singles event.
Several top players emerged victorious, demonstrating their dominance in the competition.
In the Women’s Draw, Victoria Arjoon delivered a dominant performance against Teija Edwards, winning 11-2, 11-2, 11-2.
Rebecca Low also recorded a commanding victory, defeating Tian Edwards 11-2, 11-3, 11-3.
Gabby Fraser outperformed Lydia Fraser in a competitive match, clinching the win with scores of 11-1, 11-8, and 11-6.
The Men’s Draw saw the top seeds displaying their strength.
Fourth-seed Samuel Ince-Carvalhal dominated Nandishraj Singh with an 11-1, 11-0, 11-3 win.
Regan Pollard, seeded sixth, triumphed over Lee Fung A Fat, securing an 11-1, 11-2, 11-7 victory.
Michael Alphonso put on a clinical performance, sweeping Miguel Wong 11-1, 11-1, 11-1.
Alex Arjoon and second-seed Jason-Ray Khalil also recorded comfortable wins against Matthew Phang and Reagan Rodrigues, respectively.
In the Boys U15 category, Jacob McDonald triumphed over Namishraj Singh with scores of 11-1, 11-2, and 11-3.
The Girls U15 category saw Zoey McDonald edge out fourth-seed Tehani Munroe in a thrilling five-set match, winning 11-3, 11-5, 8-11, 4-11, and 11-7.
The Girls U19 category featured Emily Fung-A-Fat, who easily defeated Paige Mendonca 11-1, 11-1, and 11-2.
Kaylee Lowe claimed a solid victory over Malia Maikoo, winning 11-5, 12-10, and 11-2.
In the Boys U19, Michael Alphonso displayed a masterful performance, sweeping Nijad Bacchus 11-1, 11-0, and 11-3.
With several impressive victories, the tournament continues to highlight the exceptional talent within Guyanese squash, with more exciting matches expected in the upcoming rounds.
