The Linden Technical Institute (LTI) celebrated a significant milestone on Tuesday as it hosted its 61st Prize-Giving and Graduation Ceremony at the Egbert Benjamin Conference Center.

The event marked the graduation of the institution’s largest cohort to date, with 225 students successfully completing Caribbean Vocational Qualification (CVQ) and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programs.

The graduating class, comprising 184 males and 41 females, achieved a 75% pass rate.

Anthony Daniels, a standout from the Mechanical program, was recognized as the Best Graduating Student, earning distinction in his competencies.

During the ceremony, graduates were encouraged to pursue their passions, meet the needs of their communities, and apply their skills innovatively as they embark on their professional journeys.

LTI Principal Hector Anthony outlined several initiatives planned for 2025, including capacity-building programs for staff, the introduction of an Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) program, and curriculum upgrades to facilitate advanced programs, such as Level Three certifications.

Additionally, efforts to digitalize data collection processes are underway, aiming to enhance the institution’s operational efficiency.

As the institute commemorates over 60 years of service, this landmark graduation underscores its commitment to equipping individuals with the skills necessary for the modern workforce and fostering regional development.
