Distribution of 2025 Old Age Pension Booklets Underway

By Celestine Chacon | December 9, 2024

The Ministry of Human Services and Social Security has begun distributing Old Age Pension booklets for 2025.

This nationwide initiative, which started last week, will run until January 31, 2025, ensuring that all eligible pensioners receive their booklets.

Minister of Human Services and Social Security, Dr. Vindhya Persaud, emphasized that booklets would continue to be available throughout the year for pensioners celebrating their 65th birthday.

“This process is expected to continue into the new year and conclude on January 31 in a mass way. However, books will be available throughout the year as pensioners celebrate their 65th birthday,” the Minister stated.

To make the process more inclusive, the Ministry has an online registry for pensioners requiring shut-in services.

Families can register elderly individuals by providing their name, contact information, and address via the Ministry’s Facebook page.

This initiative allows pension booklets to be delivered directly to homes, along with registration for the $100,000 cash grant.

Additionally, the Ministry has announced the start of Permanent Disability booklet distribution in Regions One, Seven, Eight, and Nine this week.

These booklets will be distributed at the same sites as the pension booklets, with dates for other regions to be announced soon.

Pensioners are encouraged to visit the Ministry’s Facebook page for updated information on distribution sites and schedules.
