Guyana’s national 3×3 basketball squad is preparing for its biggest challenge yet, the 2024 FIBA 3×3 AmeriCup, scheduled to take place from December 12 to 15 in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

In anticipation of the tournament, VSH United presented footwear to the team at their Carmichael Street location on Wednesday, continuing their support of the Guyana Basketball Federation.

During a small but impactful presentation, Rawle Toney, the team’s coordinator, shared his confidence in the all-local squad selected for the tournament.

Toney highlighted the consistent performances of the players in local competitions, emphasizing the team’s readiness and the importance of giving them an opportunity to showcase their talents on an international stage.

VSH United’s Mortimer Robertson expressed the company’s support for the team, wishing them success in their upcoming campaign and reaffirming their commitment to developing local youth sports.

The Guyana team, led by veteran Nikkoloi Smith, also includes Dominic Vincente, Travis Belgrave, and Harold Adams, combining experience, athleticism, and strong team chemistry.

The squad will compete against the Cayman Islands, Aruba, and Haiti in the qualifiers.
