The Linden Technical Institute (LTI) celebrated a significant milestone on Tuesday with its 61st Prize-Giving and Graduation Ceremony held at the Egbert Benjamin Conference Center.

This year, the Institute graduated its largest class to date, with 225 students completing Caribbean Vocational Qualification (CVQ) and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) courses.

Among the graduates were 184 males and 41 females, with a commendable 75% pass rate across the cohort.

Anthony Daniels, from the Mechanical program, was recognized as the Best Graduating Student for his exceptional performance and achievements in his field.

During the ceremony, Alicia Bess Anderson encouraged the graduates to pursue their passions and apply their newly acquired skills to meet the needs of their communities.

She urged them to continue innovating and improving as they begin their professional careers.

Principal Hector Anthony outlined plans for 2025, which include capacity building for staff, the introduction of an Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) program, and updates to the curriculum to offer higher-level programs, such as Level Three courses.

He emphasized the Institute’s ongoing commitment to digitalizing its data collection and enhancing its educational offerings.

Having been in operation for more than 60 years, LTI continues to play a crucial role in equipping students with practical skills to contribute to the workforce and the community.
