By Saskia Warrick | November 29, 2024

The Guyana Learning Channel (GLC) is advancing into the digital era with two major initiatives aimed at revolutionizing educational access across the country.

These developments were announced during a recent episode of Education Spotlight.

By the end of the year, GLC will launch a mobile app available on both iOS and Android, offering users access to six live channels and a comprehensive library of on-demand content.

This new digital platform will provide students and parents with enhanced engagement opportunities with learning resources.

Anieshaw Mohamed, Head of the Guyana Learning Channel, emphasized that the app is designed to expand access to education for everyone, ensuring students can benefit from flexible learning options.

Additionally, GLC is addressing the needs of families without internet or cable access by distributing 10,000 digital TV boxes.

Mohamed outlined that these boxes will be prioritized for those in need, ensuring that every learner can access the channel’s resources regardless of their location or connectivity.

With these innovative advancements, GLC is making education more inclusive and accessible, reinforcing its commitment to ensuring no learner is left behind.
