Men on Mission Hands Over New Home to Greenwich Park Resident

October 14, 2024

Isaac Thompson, a 63-year-old resident of Greenwich Park, East Bank Essequibo, received the keys to his new two-bedroom home over the weekend, thanks to the Men on Mission (MOM) initiative.

Thompson’s previous house was destroyed by fire in June 2024, leaving him and his family of six living in cramped conditions.

The new home, built under the Men on Mission program, will significantly improve the living conditions for Thompson’s family.

Thompson expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the generous support, thanking the Men on Mission initiative, the PPP government, and the contractor involved.

Minister within the Ministry of Public Works, Deodat Indar, spoke during the handover ceremony, emphasizing the importance of this initiative in providing comfortable homes to vulnerable citizens who have faced significant hardships.

The Men on Mission program, part of President Irfaan Ali’s “One Guyana” initiative, received a $500 million allocation for 2024, with the aim of supporting individuals and families in need across the country.
