Preparations Complete for the 51st CAC Bodybuilding Championship in Guyana

The 51st Central America and Caribbean (CAC) Bodybuilding Championship is set to take center stage at the National Cultural Center from October 17 to 20, bringing together 250 athletes from 20 countries in the region.

This prestigious event, first held in Guyana in 2004, promises to showcase the best in bodybuilding talent.

Keavon Bess, President of the Guyana Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, has announced that the organization has thoroughly prepared for the competition and is in the final stages of readiness for hosting the event.

Bess expressed confidence in their preparations and highlighted the federation’s commitment to ensuring a successful championship.

Participants will have the opportunity to compete for gold, silver, and bronze medals, along with the coveted bodybuilding pro cards, which signify a major milestone in athletes’ careers.

This year’s competition will feature renowned bodybuilding nations, with the exciting addition of countries like Haiti and St. Vincent competing on the CAC stage for the first time.

The event has garnered sponsorship from various organizations, including the Ministry of Culture, Youth, and Sport, the Guyana Olympic Association, Twins Manufacturing, Republic Bank Guyana Limited, Fitness Express, and Camille’s Academy.

At last year’s 50th edition in Aruba, Guyana triumphed with a haul of four gold medals, two silver medals, and one bronze medal, setting a high bar for this year’s participants.
