In a thrilling match on Thursday night at Queen’s Park Oval in Port-of-Spain, the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons triumphed over the Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) for the second time this season in the Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League.

The Knight Riders, batting first, managed to put up a score of 134 runs for the loss of 8 wickets.

Kieron Pollard led the innings with a top score of 47, while Australian player Tim David contributed 25 runs.

The Falcons’ bowling attack proved effective, with Fabian Allen and Shamar Springer both taking two wickets, while Mohammad Amair, Joshua James, and captain Chris Green each secured one wicket.

Chasing a target of 135 runs, the Falcons faced early challenges as wickets fell.

However, Justin Greaves played a crucial role in stabilizing the innings with a well-crafted 46 runs off 48 balls.

He received valuable support from Hassan Khan and Imad Wasim, who both scored 36 runs.

The Falcons successfully reached the target with six balls to spare, winning the match by six wickets.

The victory marks the second time the Falcons have defeated the Knight Riders this season, having previously won both home and away matches.

With this win, the Falcons remain hopeful as they look ahead to their next match in Guyana.

The Trinbago Knight Riders are scheduled to face the Patriots on Sunday at the Toruba Stadium, aiming to regroup and bounce back from their recent losses.
