The Bamia Health Centre recently held its third health fair of 2024, aimed at enhancing health awareness and promoting the services available at the community health center.
This latest event took place on Police Outpost Road, targeting residents of the Amelia’s Ward community.
The health fair offered a comprehensive range of services, including child health screenings, family planning, dental care, audiology, antenatal care, general checkups, eye testing, and doctor consultations.
Nurse Travern Amsterdam, the team leader, noted that the turnout was strong, with many residents taking advantage of the services.
In addition to these offerings, the health fair featured a vaccination drive led by Nurse Treviatta Flemming.
Residents had the opportunity to receive complete health checks, obtain necessary medications, and schedule follow-up appointments if needed.
Another key service highlighted was the antenatal and family planning clinic, which is available at the health center on a regular basis.
The Bamia Health Centre is already planning its next health fair for early next year and encourages community members to make use of the health services provided at the center.
