In preparation for the 2025 budget, Regional Executive Officer Narindra Persaud and the Regional Education Officer of Region Six met with head teachers from nursery, primary, and secondary schools to discuss their schools’ needs and priorities.
The discussions aimed to give educators a platform to voice their concerns and ensure their schools’ requirements are reflected in the upcoming budget.
While not all requests may be fulfilled, Persaud reassured educators that critical needs will be prioritized.
He encouraged teachers to monitor the progress of planned works at their schools by obtaining a copy of the bill of quantity.
This collaborative approach is expected to foster a more inclusive budgeting process, helping schools improve their facilities and resources.
