In anticipation of the new school term starting in September, First Lady Arya Ali has facilitated the distribution of backpacks and school supplies to students in the Better Hope community.
This initiative is aimed at providing essential resources to over a hundred students to help them prepare for their academic journey.
During the distribution event, First Lady Ali emphasized the significance of education, expressing her best wishes to the students as they embark on the new school year.
She underscored the role of education in shaping future careers and encouraged students to make the most of the opportunities ahead.
The initiative is part of a broader effort to support students and their families, which includes the allocation of $8.1 billion in this year’s budget for the ‘Because We Care’ Cash Grant.
This grant aims to ease the financial burden on parents across the country.
Additionally, the Ministry of Education, under the guidance of Minister Priya Manickchand, will be providing further resources, including textbooks and additional learning materials, particularly for high school students in mathematics.
