In a celebration of academic excellence and community support, the Linden Fund USA (LFU) hosted its third annual event honoring the top 10 performers from Region 10 at the National Grade Six Assessment (NGSA).
The awards ceremony took place at the LFU office on Washer Pond Road, where students were presented with trophies, bursaries, and certificates recognizing their achievements.
This year, LFU partnered with Elite Kayaking and Nature Tours to provide the top students with a rewarding day of exploration.
The all-expenses-paid tour included visits to the Blue Lakes and Kara Kara Creek, highlighting the natural beauty of Region 10.
LFU Chair Paula Walcott-Quintin underscored the organization’s commitment to promoting education in the region through such initiatives.
Regional leaders also expressed their support for these efforts, which aim to foster academic achievement and community engagement.
The Chairman of the Region 10 Tourism Committee, Devin Sears, commended the partnership, noting the positive impact of such collaborations.
Elite Kayaking and Nature Tours Proprietor, Dr. Deon Anderson, also acknowledged the significance of rewarding students while showcasing local natural attractions.
The day’s activities not only celebrated the students’ academic success but also introduced them to the region’s scenic highlights, reinforcing the value of both education and local tourism.
