The Men on Mission (MoM) initiative, launched by President Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali to support vulnerable individuals, has provided a new two-bedroom home to Famiada Kumar, a 69-year-old resident of the Grove squatting area on the East Bank of Demerara.

Kumar, who has faced significant financial and personal challenges throughout her life, received the keys to her new home with a mixture of joy and tears.

Overcome with emotion, she expressed her deep gratitude to the MoM initiative and the government for making her dream of owning a home come true.

Minister of Natural Resources, Vickram Bharrat, emphasized the government’s commitment to enhancing the lives of all Guyanese through initiatives like MoM.

He highlighted the administration’s efforts since taking office in August 2020 to ensure prosperity reaches every corner of the country, including remote areas such as North West Region One, Rupununi, Orealla, Bartica, and Linden.

The MoM program has delivered six houses this year, demonstrating its ongoing impact on improving living conditions for vulnerable populations.
