In a bid to support education in Berbice, the Rotary Club of Corriverton recently distributed laptops to four deserving students from Skeldon and surrounding communities.
These students, identified for their dedication to their studies despite various challenges, received the laptops as part of the club’s ongoing efforts to enhance educational opportunities in the region.
Jermaine Daniels, President of the Corriverton Rotary Club, highlighted that the laptop distribution is just one facet of the club’s broader initiatives aimed at benefiting the people of Berbice.
He emphasized the club’s commitment to community service and improving educational outcomes for local youth.
The beneficiaries were selected from Tagore Memorial Secondary School, Line Path Secondary School, and Skeldon High School, reflecting the club’s efforts to reach students across different educational institutions in the area.
Kevin Singh, one of the recipients, expressed gratitude on behalf of his peers, recognizing the importance of the laptops in supporting their academic endeavors.
In addition to the laptop distribution, the Corriverton Rotary Club recently completed projects to install water filtration systems at two primary schools in the upper Corentyne area.
