Policy Forum Guyana, a non-profit organization, launched its 1.5 Influencer Kit today in the Conference Room of the National Bookstore at Church and Main Streets, Georgetown.
The initiative aims to encourage Guyanese to adopt a more sustainable and healthy lifestyle.
The 1.5 Kit is designed to help individuals take the first step towards a lifestyle that is more compatible with nature.
This initiative also aims to promote an eco-friendly and healthy lifestyle within Guyanese society while raising awareness about the importance of advocating for the environment.
Coordinator of Policy Forum Guyana, Benita Davis, highlighted the objective of the kit’s launch, emphasizing the role of influencers in promoting it on their social media platforms.
Davis hopes that local Guyanese, inspired by these influencers, will join the movement and engage with the initiative by acquiring items such as T-shirts and water bottles.
Elsie Harry, one of the twelve influencers supporting the initiative, expressed her enthusiasm for the project.
As an advocate for the environment, Harry shared her commitment to making small changes in her life to reduce her carbon footprint and is excited to promote these efforts on a larger scale through the 1.5 Kit.
Influencers will be using social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok to showcase the 1.5 Kit and encourage the public to adopt healthier living practices.
