Dominant Victory for Meadowbrook Nets in Georgetown Amateur Basketball League

In a resounding display of skill and teamwork, the Meadowbrook Nets triumphed over the Leonora D-UP-Rising Stars in a Georgetown Amateur Basketball Association under 23 League match on Wednesday night.

The Nets asserted their dominance right from the start, showcasing their superiority on both ends of the court.

Despite a spirited effort from the D-Uprising Stars in the second quarter, the Nets maintained their lead going into halftime with a score of 39-27.

However, in the second half, the Nets tightened their defense and capitalized on scoring opportunities, ultimately clinching a commanding victory with a final score of 82-39.

Chris Perez emerged as the top scorer for the Nets, contributing 19 points to their winning effort, while Captain Peter Langevine added 15 points of his own.

Langevine attributed their success to improvements in areas like free throws, discipline, and ball movement.

On the opposing side, Shaquan Archer led the D-Uprising Stars with 12 points, acknowledging that while they started strong, turnovers proved costly, especially in the fourth quarter.

In another match of the night, the Kwakwani Untouchables demonstrated their prowess by defeating the Festival City Black Caimans with a staggering scoreline of 100-33.

Kimol Grimmond led the charge for the Untouchables with an impressive 23-point performance.
