Resuming Action: GABA U23 League Set to Resume This Weekend

The Georgetown Amateur Basketball Association’s (GABA) U23 league is gearing up to resume action this weekend at the National Gymnasium on Mandela Avenue.

The upcoming games will feature four teams in action on Saturday night. The doubleheader will kick off with the North Ruimveldt Ravens facing off against the Pepsi Sonics at 18:30 hours.

Following that, the Kwakwani Untouchables will take on the Prospect Kobras at 20:30 hours.

Unfortunately, adverse weather conditions prevented play on the previous date. GABA President Jermaine Slater assured NCN Sport that they are closely monitoring the situation, especially during this rainy season.

He emphasized the association’s strong and enduring relationship with the National Sports Commission, expressing hope for smoother proceedings going forward.

The league comprises 12 teams divided into two groups, all vying for the opportunity to be crowned National U-23 champions on June 22nd.

The tournament is proudly sponsored by Wilson Plumbing Services and General Supplies.

Basketball enthusiasts can catch all the action at the National Gymnasium as the GABA U23 league resumes its thrilling matchups this weekend.
