By Travis Seymour

Nicholas Albert has made Guyana proud by securing a coveted pro-card in bodybuilding after a remarkable performance at the Roger Boyce Bodybuilding Classic in Barbados.

Competing in the overall 163-lbs weight category, Albert emerged victorious, clinching both his class title and the overall championship title in a stunning display of physique and athleticism.

His achievement marks a significant milestone, as he becomes the youngest pro-card holder in the Caribbean and Central America region, all in just his second outing at the competition.

Albert, alongside fellow bodybuilder Hannah Rampersaud, represented Guyana at the International Body Building Federation Elite Pro World Cup and Roger Boyce Classic.

Rampersaud also secured her pro-card with an impressive performance in the Women’s Wellness category.

Julio Sinclair and Rosanna Fung also showcased their talent on the Caribbean stage.

Sinclair secured the silver medal in his heavyweight category, while Fung, competing in her third professional competition, placed third in the Women’s Wellness category.

In an interview, Albert expressed gratitude for his sponsors, including Rock Hard Cement, and emphasized that the real work begins now with the pro-card.

He remains committed to pushing towards further excellence and is actively seeking additional sponsors to support his journey to represent Guyana at the elite level of bodybuilding.

Albert’s success serves as inspiration to aspiring bodybuilders in Guyana, demonstrating that hard work, dedication, and sacrifice can lead to significant achievements in the sport.
