In the thrilling quarter-final matches of the One Guyana King and Queen of the Sand beach football tournament, four teams have secured their spots in the semi-finals.

Intense football action is on the horizon as the tournament progresses to the semi-final round, scheduled for Monday, April 29.

Teams are gearing up for the opportunity to clinch the top prizes in what promises to be a highly competitive showdown.

Young Gunners, MS Ballers, Platinum, and High Flyers emerged victorious in the quarter-finals, showcasing their skills and determination on the sandy shores.

In the male division, Young Gunners displayed prowess by defeating Hururu with a solid 3-0 victory. Omarian Ramsammy, Rodenso Tudor, and Omar Mclauren each contributed a goal to secure the win for Gunners.

The clash between PRO Ballers and MS Ballers ended in a goalless draw, with Jude Boyea’s lone penalty kick for MS Ballers proving to be the decisive moment.

Platinum showcased their strength with a 2-0 win against Universal, thanks to Tyrese Lewis’ goals in the 8th and 14th minutes.

However, the night took a dramatic turn in the final game as Chung Construction faced off against High Flyers.

While Chung Construction secured a 1-0 win during extra time, they were ultimately disqualified for violating tournament rules by fielding an outsider as a team member.

In the female round-robin segment, Rockstone and Aroima battled to a goalless draw, while Speightland secured a 3-0 victory over Hururu girls, with goals from Shenessa Cornelius and Nikitta Wayne.

Looking ahead to the semi-finals, Aroima will face off against Hururu, while Speightland takes on Rockstone in the female division.

In the male category, MS Ballers will clash with High Flyers, while Platinum and Young Gunners are set for an exciting showdown.

The stakes are high, with the winning male team set to receive one million dollars, while the female winners will pocket four hundred thousand dollars.

Second-place finishers will also receive substantial cash prizes.

As anticipation builds for the semi-final matches, fans can expect nothing short of thrilling football action as teams vie for the title of King and Queen of the Sand.
