UnCappeD Event to Showcase Nearly 100 Agro-Processing Businesses

The eagerly anticipated UnCappeD event, organized by the Guyana Manufacturing and Services Association (GMSA), is gearing up to host nearly 100 exhibitors at the National Stadium in Providence on May 4th and 5th.

This marks the 6th edition of the event, which promises to connect consumers with high-quality local products and provide valuable networking opportunities for participating businesses.

President of the GMSA, Ramsay Ali, emphasized the event’s mission to support local agro-processing businesses and showcase their diverse range of products, which includes spices, condiments, face creams, beverages, and sauces.

Notably, many of these businesses are owned and operated by women, underscoring the event’s commitment to gender inclusivity and empowerment.

Ali highlighted the substantial growth of UnCappeD since its inception in 2016, noting that a significant number of small agro-processors have expanded their operations and are now exporting their products beyond Guyana’s borders.

This growth is a testament to the event’s success in promoting and supporting local entrepreneurship and economic development.

Entrance to UnCappeD is free of cost, inviting all Guyanese citizens to explore and support the vibrant agro-processing sector while enjoying a farmers’ market-style experience.
