Kares Crossfit Caribbean Championship Promises Grueling Test for Region’s Fittest Athletes

Anticipation is building as the annual Kares Crossfit Caribbean Championship is set to kick off on April 6, promising a rigorous test for some of the fittest athletes in the region.

According to Jordana Ramsay-Gonsalves, coordinator of the event, spectators can expect a high level of competition as athletes vie to establish themselves as the fittest in the Caribbean.

Ramsay-Gonsalves highlighted the determination of both local and international athletes to excel in the competition.

Organizers are keen to elevate the status of Crossfit in Guyana and the wider region, with aspirations to gain international recognition.

The event aims to attract participants from around the world and raise awareness of Crossfit as a sport.

The championship, scheduled for April 6 and 7, will feature a series of intense workouts held at the National Aquatic Centre at Lilliendaal on the first day, followed by further competitions at the National Park tarmac on the second day.

This year’s event has drawn top athletes from various countries, including the Netherlands, the United States of America, the United Kingdom, Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados, Suriname, Bahamas, and French Guiana.

Athlete registration remains open until March 24, with a registration fee of US $70.

As preparations intensify and athletes gear up for the challenge, the Kares Crossfit Caribbean Championship promises to be a thrilling and demanding event for competitors and spectators alike.
