In a stunning showcase of skill and determination, the Guyana Defence Force (GDF) women’s football team delivered an emphatic victory over Pakuri Warriors with an astonishing scoreline of 28-nil.

Led by standout performances from Glendy Lewis and Jalade Trim, the GDF team dominated the field from start to finish in the GFF Women’s First Division League match held at the Guyana Football Federation National Training Center in Providence.

From the outset, it was clear that the GDF women were in control of the game, with Sherlyn Kingston setting the tone by opening the scoring in the 11th minute.

Glendy Lewis quickly followed suit, adding goals in the 12th and 17th minutes, while Shenessa Cornelius contributed to the growing lead with a goal in the 19th minute, putting GDF ahead 4-nil.

However, it was Glendy Lewis who truly stole the show, netting two more goals before halftime and returning in the second half to score an additional four goals, bringing her total tally to an impressive eight goals for the match.

Jalade Trim was equally formidable, securing a hat-trick in the first half to help GDF establish a commanding 12-nil lead heading into halftime.

The second half saw no respite for Pakuri Warriors as Kellyann Niles and Shenessa Cornelius added to the scoreline with doubles, while Glengie Lewis and Jalade Trim continued to find the back of the net at will.

The match concluded with GDF securing a comprehensive victory over Pakuri Warriors, leaving no doubt about their dominance on the field.

The resounding win underscores the talent and teamwork of the GDF women’s football team and solidifies their position as a force to be reckoned with in the GFF Women’s First Division League.
