In West Ruimveldt, Georgetown, significant infrastructural projects valued at over $58 million are currently underway, spearheaded by female contractors.

Ministers Kwame McCoy and Deodat Indar visited the communities on Tuesday to inspect the progress of these projects and gather feedback from residents.

Many of the contractors involved in these projects expressed their enthusiasm and gratitude for the opportunity to contribute to their community’s development.

Shoba Evans, one of the contractors, highlighted the importance of empowering women beyond traditional roles, stating that these projects serve as a testament to their strength and capabilities.

Lizeena Joseph, another contractor, echoed this sentiment, emphasizing that the projects provide an opportunity for women to showcase their abilities beyond household duties.

Ministers McCoy and Indar engaged with residents to explore additional avenues through which the government can further improve their quality of life.

These discussions reflect the government’s commitment to actively involve communities in decision-making processes and address their needs effectively.

The projects in West Ruimveldt signify important investments aimed at community development and capacity building.

Minister McCoy emphasized that these endeavors are geared towards enhancing the overall well-being of residents and building stronger communities.
